Southern England: It’s home to our capital, long stretches of glorious beaches and seductive coastlines. You will find that people from the South are level-headed and very independent.  From thatched cottages in the southeast to Devonshire cream teas in the west, your journey through Southern England will be charming and picturesque. This part of the world has inspired many writers and poets. Jane Austen based many of her novels on the picture-postcard villages close to Basingstoke, and Agatha Christie is so well-known in Torquay, they created a tour of the town for her.  South of the Watford Gap, there’s plenty of beauty and sincerity, full of adventure and enthrallment and it’s usually basked in brilliant British sunshine!

9. Windsor Castle. It’s the only place that the Queen will call home and is the largest castle in the UK.
