For its spring season at home at Theatre Royal Glasgow, Scottish Opera stages another two new productions. Joining Verdi's valedictory Falstaff, directed by Dundee Rep's Dominic Hill, is Scottish composer Judith Weir's first acclaimed opera, A Night at the Chinese Opera, revived by Lee Blakeley.

The Ayrshire Arts & Craft Fair is an indication of the thriving nature of cottage industry in Ayrshire, and takes over Troon Concert Hall for a Saturday in most months. From hand-made jewellery to embroidery, toys, wood turning and stained glass, there is plenty for shoppers to choose from.

Pantomime favourite Cinderella gets a musical makeover in one of Rossini's most popular operas, which comes to Oban's Corran Halls as part of Scottish Opera's touring programme. Harry Fehr directs a cast of young singers, accompanied by an instrumental ensemble from the Orchestra of Scottish Opera, conducted by Oliver Rundell.
