5. Managed by the National Trust, you can spend the whole day at Tatton Park in Cheshire. Alternatively meander through the beautiful Peak District and its undulating landscapes.
6. Chatsworth House is one of the most popular stately homes in the UK. Home to the Duke of Devonshire, there’s exquisite treasures, fly fishing, long walks and adventure playgrounds to keep your children busy.
7. Step back in time at Beamish Open Air Museum, County Durham, and experience how they used to live in the North during the 1800s and 1900s.
8. For long walks, cycles, watersports and varying, beautiful landscapes, explore the North Yorkshire Dales.
9. Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Gardens in North Yorkshire is an 800-acre World Heritage Site with the ruins of Britain’s largest Cistercian abbey.
10. Be a thrill seeker and try out the rides at Alton Towers. Are you brave enough to try Air? or the New Charlie & the Chocolate factory Ride!
