Why Barceló Hotels & Resorts?
Formed in 1994 as Paramount Group of Hotels, we've grown rapidly, and now have a range of stunning hotels across the UK. We acquire premises which have been neglected and bring them back to life - so they're a credit both to the company, and to the local community. We invest heavily in our properties - and our people. Our hotels are traditional and distinguished, each with their own personality, within the four-star market.
Barceló Hotels & Resorts is a privately owned Spanish company operating over 170 hotels across 16 countries in 4 continents. The group continues to grow and aim to expand their portfolio in the UK.
Salaries and benefits to match your abilities
We want to recruit the best people and retain them, so you'll enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package. This includes excellent discounted staff accommodation rates, leisure club membership, a pension scheme open to all permanent employees over 18, your meals when on duty, and a smart and stylish uniform.
Your training and development
To ensure you're empowered to deliver the very best results, we provide training of the highest quality. We also offer you real career development opportunities - if you want them - as we believe in developing and promoting our own people.
Whichever role you join us in, you'll need the confidence, knowledge and skills to excel. You'll benefit from training from day one, as we run our own training programme which is updated annually to reflect the requirements of both our business and our people. You'll start by attending a two-day induction which all new full-time employees undertake. This is held on-site at one of our hotels, so you get to know about us by experiencing for yourself the service we offer. We also have a regular review system, which gives you the chance to talk about your job, your training and your future.
There's also the chance to study for a National or Scottish Vocational Qualification, or a specialist professional qualification in many positions.
Barceló's pledge to commit to government 'Train to Gain' skills.
Barceló Hotel & Resorts have joined more than 150 leading employers from across England who met with Government Ministers to make a public Skills Pledge to train all their staff. Charles Prew, Chief Executive Officer, was the first to make a public and voluntary commitment to support our employees to develop basic skills, including numeracy and literacy, allowing you to work towards relevant, valuable qualifications to at least Level 2 (the equivalent of five GCSEs at A - C grade).
Experience across the country
If you want to get to see other areas of the country, and develop your career in the process, then we offer excellent transfer opportunities within the group.
How do we differ from our competitors?
We run our business professionally, openly and efficiently. We're also dedicated to delivering exceptional service, as this is the key to our continued success and growth, and the retention of our existing customers.
We also believe in trying new ideas and challenging the norm. We welcome input from everyone - our people are empowered to use their own initiative and imagination to help us deliver outstanding service.
