In September the renowned privately owned Spanish hospitality group Barceló, signed an agreement to lease and manage the UK properties on a long-term contract.
This exciting union means that Paramount Hotels has now become part of one of the largest and fastest growing international hospitality companies in the world.
The origins of Barceló Hotels & Resorts began with the family launching a passenger transport service in the local villages in Majorca in 1931. Through pure commitment and a desire to progress, 1962 saw the construction of the Hotel Latino – the first of the Barceló hotels, which came to be one of the most celebrated international brands in the world.
Barceló Hotels & Resorts currently operates 160 hotels worldwide, across 14 countries and 3 continents, including Spain, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, the United States, Mexico, Turkey and Switzerland, to mention just a few countries.
