Wolsingham and Wear Valley Agricultural Show

Wolsingham claims to hold the oldest agricultural show in England, at Scotch Isle Farm. It has everything you would expect to find at a country fair, with livestock displays and competitions, agricultural equipment, craft marquees and children's entertainment.

The show attracts thousands of people over the three days. Farmers congregate to show off their prize-winning stock, while craft and produce tents bulge with regional delights. Special events include a Shetland Pony Grand National on the Saturday and Harness Racing in the evenings, where daredevil jockeys race in horse-drawn carts.
