In recognition of an important time in the farming year, Mary Arden's House & the Shakespeare Countryside Museum present traditional country crafts, activities and entertainment during Apple Week, including cider making, apple juicing and wood turning, morris dancing and juggling.
Visitors can take part in the "Longest Peel" competition. Each visitor is given the opportunity to peel an apple harvested from the orchards and the person with the longest peel in each age category (under 12s, 12-16s, over 16s) wins a Family House pass for the Shakespeare Houses and is entered in the national competition organised by Common Ground.
