Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival

The Brighton & Hove Food and Drink festival celebrates the best of food and drink in Sussex. Local delicacies are the star of the show, with special events taking place across Brighton and Hove including markets, demonstrations and competitions.

Battle of the Bars launches the festival at Komedia on 4 September, an event that seeks the best bar tender in Brighton. Other highlights of the festival include: Fish on the Front (6 September), celebrating Brighton's heritage as a fishing village with a market on the seafront; Sussex Market (13-14 September) on New Road/Jubilee Street/Jubilee Square, with plenty of local produce and tempting dishes from local restaurants; Fiery Food UK (20-21 September), which showcases the best in spicy food by local and national producers at Old Steine, Brighton; and Sussex and the Rest of the World Market (27-28 September), a continental food market on Hove Lawns.
