Christmas Eve
After you have checked in, start your festive break with a traditional afternoon tea in the lounge. In the evening, meet your fellow guests and enjoy a delicious three-course dinner to soothing sounds from the live jazz trio. Many of the local churches have midnight services if you wish to attend, mulled wine and mince pies will await your return.

Christmas Day
Start the day with a hearty Scottish breakfast. Enjoy your presents, relax in the Health & Leisure Club or work up an appetite with a walk around the historic streets of Edinburgh. Indulge in the traditional festive lunch then settle in the lounge with the Queen’s speech before enjoying the feature film showing in the Argyll Cinema. If you’ve room there’s an informal buffet dinner in the evening to round off the day.

Boxing Day
There’s no need to rush this morning so enjoy a lazy breakfast. Take a trip down to the Winter Wonderland, ice skating and Christmas market in Edinburgh’s Princes Street Gardens, tickets are available to buy at reception. Make sure you are back in time for the fabulous Scottish dinner in the Highland Suite with live entertainment. Sadly, you’ll leave us tomorrow but with memories of a truly enjoyable Christmas.

A sparkling New Year
Tuesday 30th December 2008
Arrive, unpack and recover from your journey with a delicious cream tea. If you’ve time why not go on the excellent ghost tour around the city? The traditional Scottish dinner served in the evening will ease you into your first night.

New Year’s Eve
Edinburgh is a beautiful city and you have the day at leisure to do whatever you please; browse the shops or visit the
castle, all just a short stroll from the hotel. Whatever you do, be sure to be back at the hotel in plenty of time to
get ready for what will be a fantastic evening. A cocktail demonstration will get you in the party spirit, before sitting
down to an exquisite five-course dinner with live jazz music. At 11pm wrap up warm and make your way to the street
party to see in the New Year with a dazzling fireworks display (weather permitting). Mulled wine and mince pies will await your return.

New Year’s Day
Have a leisurely start to the New Year with brunch served until noon. If you’re staying with us another night, why
not buy tickets from reception for the Winter Wonderland and try skating on the outdoor ice rink? The evening’s
sumptuous three-course dinner and dance will bring to a close your New Year break.

Guaranteeing Your Booking
To guarantee your Christmas party booking please send a £10.00 deposit for each guests within 10 days of making your party night reservation. Your deposit cannot be transferred to cover drinks or accommodation. The balance should be settled four weeks before your event. To guarantee your New Year package you’ll need to pay a 50% deposit. All accommodation must be fully prepaid at the time of booking. All payments are non-refundable. You can pay this by Access/MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners, Switch or a cheque (made payable to Barceló UK Hotels).
