Christmas Eve
Arrive at the hotel from 2pm and make your way to the lounge for a reviving pot of tea and homemade scones. Familiarise yourself with the hotel before a welcome drinks reception of Bucks Fizz. Local carol singers provide the entertainment before making your way into the restaurant for your three-course evening meal and musical classics from the carol singers. The evening continues until Midnight Mass for those who want to go. Hot chocolate and mince pies are waiting for you afterwards.

Christmas Day
A day of surprises! See what’s hanging from your door and take advantage of the extensive Christmas breakfast buffet. However you spend Christmas morning, make sure you and the family are back at the hotel before lunch to be entertained by the Christmas entertainer and his fun Christmas show. Your traditional four-course Christmas lunch is served in the beautiful Great Hall, make sure you aren’t distracted by the intricate vaulted ceilings and beautiful festive decorations. After lunch, there’s time to quickly hear the Queen’s speech before a quiz, competitions and bingo! In the evening, relax to sounds of the saxophonist and enjoy a sumptuous hot and cold buffet.

Boxing Day
After breakfast join in with the treasure hunt around the grounds, or simply watch a film. Soup and sandwiches are served at lunchtime before we’re off to ‘Barceló Redworth Races’ – see how many winners you can predict at this fun event. Later, join the team for giggles at the traditional Boxing Day pantomime ‘Robinson Crusoe’ with the hugely popular ‘He’s behind you’ Panto Company. Great entertainment for guests young and old! Your three-course evening meal is also included. You’ll leave on Saturday filled with joy, but if you don’t want the fun to end, extend your stay from just £46.50 extra per guest!

New Year all-inclusive breaks

Tuesday 30th December
Check in from 3pm and join the Barceló Redworth Hall photo quiz. Your three-course evening meal starts with a Bucks Fizz reception for you to meet fellow guest, followed by a delicious meal and live entertainment.

New Year’s Eve
This morning why not pop into nearby Durham or take a trip to the sales at the Metro Centre? Be back for the afternoon as we’re all going to the ‘Barceló Redworth Races’ – an in-house fun way to gamble on the horses, without losing out! An early dinner is served for children under 16 from 4.30pm. A face painter and balloon artist will keep the younger ones entertained. For you older kids, there’s just enough time to dress to impress for the evening’s highlight event, a superb four-course banquet with piper, live entertainment and confetti canons to herald the start of 2009.

New Year’s Day
Dust off the cobwebs, or any lingering aches from the night’s festivities at the ‘survival station’. Your hearty English breakfast awaits you and will truly set you up for the first day of 2009. A treasure hunt around the hotel and grounds will give you the blast of fresh air that you might need and engage your brain. If reflection is more your style for 2009, then the swimming pool is warm and inviting. The day will end with a buffet showcasing foods from around the world and relaxing tunes from the jazz saxophonist.

To guarantee your Christmas party booking please send a £10.00 deposit for each guests within 10 days of making your party night reservation. Your deposit cannot be transferred to cover drinks or accommodation. The balance should be settled four weeks before your event. To guarantee your New Year package you’ll need to pay a 50% deposit. All accommodation must be fully prepaid at the time of booking. All payments are non-refundable. You can pay this by Access/MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners, Switch or a cheque (made payable to Barceló UK Hotels).
