The Cotswold Farm Park in Stow-on-the-Wold offers a fun day out regardless of the weather. Kids get to meet, cuddle and feed a variety of farm animals, and it's also home to a rare breeds conservation centre.
Children have the chance to make new four-legged or furry friends in Pets Corner, learn to drive a miniature tractor in Tractor School, bottle-feed pet lambs and feed other animals (including some ridiculously cute piglets). Not only will they love to pet and stroke these new friends, but they'll also learn something about nature, conservation and farm life.
Another educational feature is Animals Through the Ages, an audio tour in which Joe Henson relates the history of rare British breeds. There's also a Farm Safari which rides around the park.
There are demonstrations of farming activities throughout the year, including an indoor lambing exhibiton, shearing demonstrations and daily milking shows - please call the venue for the specific times.
