Paramount Group of Hotels has recently published the finding of its 2005 Employee Survey.

From the 1400 employees that responded, 82% said that the most important benefit they received was free internal and external training.  The response rate this year was 67%, a 2% increase on 2004, which is an excellent response rate.

Des Lawson, Group Training Manager said "This years survey has provided us with some fantastic feedback and I am delighted to hear that so many of our team are happy with the training they receive.  Like any good company, we are committed to our people and their development, but this is particularly important to us, as we enter a period of company expansion."

A whopping 93% of Paramount employees said they get job satisfaction from providing good customer service and believe that they deal with their customers in a very professional manner.  89% of respondents believed that Paramount is committed to delivering customer excellence. 

For the second year running, the survey was performed for Paramount by AF Associates, who commented, "Both the data and comments reveal high levels of staff satisfaction throughout the company.  People like their colleagues, company benefits, the standards the hotels strive to maintain and the training they receive."  Management style also scored highly, with respondents saying management set high standards of performance, treat staff with dignity and respect.  84% said their manager does a good job.

Paramount's recently secured preferred bidder status to develop a 200-bedroom, four-star hotel training school in Bournemouth, 'The Paramount Oceanic Hotel'.  Potentially 60 of the employees at this hotel will be undertaking a Foundation Degree.
