Paramount Hotel Group Chefs’ Event, Imperial Blackpool
Paramount Group of Hotels recently held a two-day conference for its chefs at the Paramount Imperial Hotel, Blackpool, with celebrity chef Phil Vickery attending as star speaker and facilitator of the conference.
The chefs were called on to demonstrate their ability at menu planning, creating recipes from lists of ingredients and took part in a "cook off" with just 20 minutes to prepare a dish.
Among the highlights was a presentation on "The Greats of Great British Food" by Phil Vickery, who was a key member of the judging team, alongside Charles Prew Chief Executive of Paramount Group of Hotels. The chefs were tested on their food and drink knowledge, their ingenuity in using ingredients, time management and presentation skills. The event was a great opportunity for the chefs to network and share their best practice skills with each other.
