Paramount Group of Hotels has been recognised in the recent Caterer and Hotelkeeper Awards for its groundbreaking recruitment and training schemes.

Paramount Hotels was the outright winner in the Fresh Faces category, as the employer who has done most within the hotel industry to develop and encourage links with academic partners.  The group has developed its management trainee programme, now in its third year, aimed to take at least one trainee per year at each hotel - there are twenty in the group - and take them through an intensive training course to gain a foundation degree qualification in Hospitality and Tourism management.

The group was also Highly Commended in the category for Hotel Groups with 11 or more sites, in recognition of its good practises, including training, development, structured performance review, regular employee surveys and feedback.

These awards recognise the hotel group's achievements in these areas which contributed to securing preferred bidder status to build a fully commercial training hotel in Bournemouth - the first in the UK.
