Paramount Hotels has recently launched a new tailor-made online booking
system to compliment its already successful website for the group's
collection of four star hotels across Scotland, England and Wales.
Designed by Paramount's own E-commerce team, headed by Sally Osborne,
the new system is much more attractive to the consumer, easier to
navigate and shows availability direct from Protel, so it is totally
reliable and accurate.

The user-friendly and attractive new system includes descriptions of all
the bedrooms, with enlarged images to help with selection.  It shows the
best available rate of the day, live hotel promotions and has speedy
links to the individual hotels' web pages.  If a first choice is not
available, alternative hotels and dates are easily sourced.

Sally Osborne, Paramount's Director of E-commerce and Digital Marketing
said: "Having over ten years' experience working within website
development and marketing, I have cherry-picked the best features from
many different sites and put them together to create this new,
tailor-made system for Paramount.  We are delighted with the very
positive feedback we have received so far and we are working on further
innovations to improve the system still further in the coming weeks."

The tailor-made system has some very attractive extras - for example
when a booking is made, it is easy to add on a choice of extras, such as
pre-booking dinners, spa treatments, late checkout or the other special
add-ons, such as afternoon tea or the Champagne and chocolate package
offered by Paramount Hotels.

Also, when a booking has been made, the guest will receive an email five
days prior to departure giving details of live events in the area during
their stay, a weather forecast and a route planner from their home to
the hotel.

Since the launch of this new booking system in late July, Paramount
Hotels has seen an 85% increase in online revenue year on year as well
as an improved booking conversion, which has increased from less than 1%
to 2.8%.
