The Lygon Arms Broadway in the Cotswolds, A Paramount Signature Hotel, has long enjoyed a reputation as one of the finest English country house hotels, dating back to the 16th century.  It is also one of the very prestigious Leading Small Hotels of the World.  This very special hotel is currently undergoing a major, multi-million pound, restoration process which will restore it to its full glory, while adding a stylish twist.  Original features such as the timber and flagstone floors, wood panelling and stone mullions are being expertly restored and will be dramatically lit to draw attention to the unique style of the hotel.

The 69 existing bedrooms are undergoing a full renovation, and a further seven rooms will ultimately be added..  The attention to detail is impressive, with the beds being customised to sit smoothly on the uneven floors of such an historic building, and the four-poster beds in the suites being fully restored by leading experts in this field.  All rooms in the Garden and Orchard wings will be fitted to full executive specifications, including air-conditioning and wireless broadband connections. State-of –the- art fittings will include Bang and Olufsun flat-screen televisions, CD and DVD players.  The attention to detail also extends to handmade Italian writing desks with hand-stitched leather-lined drawers and hand-blown glass handles, offering the last word in luxury.

One of the finest features of The Lygon Arms is its Great Hall Restaurant which dates back to Elizabethan times and is being transformed into a truly elegant dining venue.  Meanwhile, other public areas are also being refreshed with the new café modelled on the Marais district of Paris serving mouth-watering pastries and the Russell Room being transformed into a sophisticated bar area.

The hotel’s exquisite Spa with its private entrance has a state-of-the-art gym and treatment rooms offering an extensive range of body and facial treatments using the Elemis product range.

Billesley Manor Hotel, the third of the Paramount Signature Hotels, is located just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon.  This exquisite Elizabethan country house with 11 acres of grounds was once a regular haunt of Shakespeare’s and it is said that he actually wrote “As You Like It” at Billesley.   Today the hotel retains all its finest traditional features, but combines with all the comforts and luxuries you would expect from A Paramount Signature Hotel.  There are 72 stunning bedrooms.  Half the rooms are situated in the main house and half in the nearby converted barns and outbuildings.  The hotel also offers a well-equipped Spa with indoor pool and gym, tennis courts and a croquet lawn.  Fine dining is available in the award-winning Stuart Restaurant, which has two AA rosettes, or for a lighter snack or meal, there is a specially designed healthy menu available in the Spa Bistro.

The most recent hotel to be elevated to Signature status is Shrigley Hall Hotel Golf & Country Club near Manchester in Cheshire, on the edge of the Peak District.   The property has recently had a substantial investment to modernise key areas, whilst retaining the ambience of history.
